From handcrafted ceramics to upcycled furniture, we check out some eco-friendly interior design tips for your coffee shop.
Handcrafted
Swapping mass-produced ceramics for handmade crockery is a great way to introduce an artisanal element to your coffee shop. Irregular, handcrafted designs promote sustainability whilst also perfectly complementing a fresh and organic offering. Bring the outside in and fill embossed jugs and vases with pretty blooms for a bright and summery ambience.
Upcycled
In a society of over-consumption, emphasis is currently on a greener, more sustainable way of living. Do your bit and choose recycled or upcycled furniture designs to reduce unnecessary waste. Alternatively, select classic, timeless furniture pieces that will stand the test of time. Durability is key – ditch cheap, disposable designs for good quality styles that you won’t have to replace nearly so frequently.
Transparency
With the rise of the conscious consumer, customers like to know where produce is coming from and how it is being prepared. In-line with the open-kitchen trend, instead of hiding everything away in cupboards, display ingredients on open shelving. This transparency will help to build trust and loyalty with customers whilst also stimulating the senses of sound, smell and sight.
