As we are nearing the end of November, London is starting to feel festive! Here is a look at some of our favourite Christmas celebrations to get you in the festive spirit and gain some Christmas inspiration for your coffee shop this wintertime.
Winterville
The co-founders of Field Day and Street Feast bring Winterville to Clapham Common this Christmas. Opening on 23rd November, the festive playground will feature an outdoor ice rink, a cinema, a roller disco and a fairground. A seasonal market as well as some of London’s finest street food traders will also be popping up to embrace the Christmas spirit. In the run up to the big day, you can expect cabaret, bingo, golf, club nights, choirs and Mexican wrestling to keep you entertained until the New Year.
Wintertime at Southbank Centre
From 10th November until 4th January, the Southbank Centre is throwing a massive Christmas celebration. With 50 wooden chalets forming the Christmas market, you’ll find everything from unique gifts and stocking fillers to sheepskin rugs and delicious Nordic treats. If that’s not your thing, you could always relax with a warm glass of mulled wine, feast on fondue in a snow globe or enjoy the Finnish rooftop sauna overlooking the Thames – Ideal for sweating out the Christmas booze!
Winter Wonderland
Back for the eleventh year and opening tonight, Hyde Parks Winter Wonderland promises to be bigger and better than ever! Whether it’s watching a show in a heated venue, enjoying over 100 rides or taking in the Christmas markets, Wonderland provides a truly festive experience. With a huge selection of delicious food and drink, there’s something for everyone. Enjoy the Street Food Market, be entertained with Karaoke and cocktails in your own private Alpine hut, toast marshmallows over a roaring fire-pit or treat yourself to a tipple in a Scandinavian-style Viking inspired bar. Whilst entry is free, be sure to book in advance the main attractions including the UKs biggest out door ice rink and the endless variety of Christmas shows.
