A retail and hospitality hybrid, Havan is a unique, eco-boutique and coffee shop based on the affluent Kensington High Street. Opening its doors for the first time last week, we are proud to announce the stylish store as the latest addition to Offbeat’s vast design portfolio.
The Brand
Working on the creative identity, Offbeat generated a brand design to promote Havan’s sustainable and environmentally friendly ethos. Utilising a natural and elegant colour palette, paired with a simple sans-serif typeface, the logo design reflects a fresh and organic offering. An additional set of symbols were designed to form an in-store key-chart, informing customers of the ethical status of certain products. Used across marketing material, they also help to portray a high-quality, chic, and ethically-aware brand.
The Interior Design
Utilising a monochrome colour palette, the aim was to create an inviting space where sustainable, fair trade products are the star of the show. Neutral, white washed walls and stone effect wallpaper contribute to the overall minimal, stylish and understated ambience of the store. The natural material palette reflects the brand’s socially-responsible ethos, whilst bespoke shelving units and directional lighting help to promote the organic merchandise on display.
The Offering
Havan stocks a variety of environmentally-friendly and ethically-made lifestyle products. From bamboo straws to upcycled textiles, all of the carefully curated home and beauty items are 100% vegan, cruelty-free and ethically made. Alongside the boutique, the coffee shop offers a variety of delicious Uji Matcha, ceremonial teas and lattes, sourced from small family-run farms across Japan and China.
Be sure to visit Havan to sample their tempting, handmade vegan matcha shortbread in beautiful and calming surrounds. Who knows, you might even bag yourself an organic candle in the process!
