Offbeat Creative Visits Caffè Culture 2019
Team Offbeat | 01 Nov

Accommodating over 4,000 industry professionals, Caffè Culture showcases the latest trends and innovations in the café and coffee shop market. Here are our highlights from the UK’s leading trade event.

Eco-friendly

With emphasis on eco-friendly packaging and products, the show presented key contributors in the café and coffee shop sector. From reusable consumables and biodegradable packaging to fair trade coffee, social and ethical awareness was very much at the forefront. Chewsy, the UK’s first and only plant based, plastic free gum brand was promoting their biodegradable products. Naturally free from sugar, aspartame, artificial sweeteners and flavours, Chewsy is a healthy and tasty gum that is good for both us and the planet!

Health

It’s all about healthy living! Showcasing their guilt-free snacks, Pulsitos roasted fava beans are packed full of vitamins, minerals, protein and fibre. The beans are also climate smart, meaning they adapt to climate change and contribute towards mitigating its effects. Storing nitrogen in soil, they ultimately reduce the need for artificial fertilisers as well as using less freshwater than other non-plant sources of protein. Additionally, the socially responsible snacks adopt plastic-free recyclable and compostable packaging. What’s not to love?

Non-dairy Alternatives

Milk alternatives remain a prominent feature in the café and coffee shop market. On show was Gut Instinct’s Barista Oat Edition, specially formulated for use in coffee. Rude Health have also launched two new dairy-free milk alternatives. Using organic ingredients, Barista Almond and Barista Oat have been specially designed to be extra “froth-able”, making the perfect addition to any coffee!

CBD

CBD infused products were a notable trend at the show. Promoting their CBD infused cold brew coffee, High Tide have created a non-psychoactive, low acidity caffeine hit. Naturally vegan, gluten-free and sugar-free, the drink is marketed as a stress-free energy drink, designed to help aid and elevate physical performance.

Whether its procuring sustainable produce, rethinking your recycling system, or exploring new trends, be sure to keep up-to-date with the latest developments and innovations in the coffee shop industry.
