Offbeat Creative was appointed to help design a successful brand and interior design concept for an Art Deco-inspired dessert parlour in Norwich. Since opening its doors one month ago, Mindoro’s charming and stylish design has proven to be a big hit with the local community.
Brand Design
Working to the clients brief, Offbeat Creative set out to create a sophisticated and elegant brand identity. Utilising a thin and delicate typeface, Mindoro’s logo is reminiscent of the Art Deco era, whilst the deep green brand colour suggests a rich and luxurious offering.
Interior Design
Again, taking inspiration from 1920’s Art Deco, Mindoro’s interior design consists of marble columns, velvet bench seating and gold accessories. Due to the large size of the site, we divided the space into zones to accommodate different dining preferences. Overall, the décor is a sophisticated combination of rich materials alongside a striking colour palette to create a luxurious yet calming ambience.
Lighting
Clever lighting design was implemented throughout Mindoro’s interior to help create a sense of intimacy. Ambient lighting in booth areas as well as decorative wall lighting gives a warm and welcoming glow. Finally, the panelled ceiling makes an impact with a built-in, Art Deco lighting design suggesting grandeur and opulence.
Offering
Mindoro offers a range of sweet treats including gelato, crêpes, waffles and cakes as well as artisan coffee and sandwiches. Additionally, the menu boasts gluten free cakes and wraps as well as several vegan options.
