London’s Newest Eateries: April 2017
| 14 Apr

Spring brings us a fresh batch of new eateries around London from a rooftop market offering some of the best street food to health-focused casual dining spots serving superfood cocktails. Take a look at this gorgeous trio: Giant Robot, Dandy and Maple & Kings.

Giant Robot

Giant Robot is a new ‘eating and drinking rooftopia’ by Street Feast, located at Crossrail Place, Canary Wharf. The rooftop market boasts a selection of mouth-watering street food traders alongside three fantastic bars. Giant Robot’s interior design reflects its name with futuristic-styled décor and gorgeous panoramic views of the City. Whether you’re a city trader, retail worker or commuter, Giant Robot is open seven days a week from 11am to late so there is no excuse not to visit!

Food traders

Giant Robot is currently home to Little José, Yum Bun, Thunderbird, Bob’s Lobster and Yumplings. However, the list is not expected to stop there so keep an eye out for new street food traders!

Dandy

Dandy is a new stylish all-day restaurant, café and bakery located in Newington Green. The establishment was previously based in London Fields as a pop-up café but has now acquired a new home boasting a 50-cover indoor space and 30-cover alfresco dining area. Dandy’s new interior design reflects a casual and homely environment featuring light oak communal tables and chairs, exposed brickwork, textured concrete flooring and plenty of foliage.

Dandy takes pride in using locally sourced ingredients and offers a variety of ‘world food’ to celebrate different ethnic cuisines.

Maple & Kings

Maple & Kings – a new casual eatery focused on health-driven food – has arrived at Pancras Square, London. Chef and owner, Adria Wu, delivers a balanced menu for breakfast, lunch and weekend brunch consisting of miso porridge, super food cocktails and salads. Alternatively, if you’re craving something sweet, head to their gluten-free bake shop where you can find salted caramel brownies, vegan muffins and ‘everything’ cookies.

Maple & Kings’ interior adopts an airy, minimalist design showcasing white gloss honeycomb tiles, reclaimed oak and marble. There is also a beautiful mezzanine area overlooking Pancras Square, perfect for dining out in the warmer weather.
