The hospitality sector tends to see an increase in trade during the Easter weekend. Here, we take a closer look at how you can benefit from this year’s Easter festivities.
Menu
Get in the spirit this spring and tailor your coffee shop menu to please all those in favour of an indulgent Easter treat. Whether it’s hot cross buns, mini egg cupcakes or bunny-shaped biscuits, introduce a few Easter items in prime locations in your coffee shop. One restaurant cleverly tapping into the Easter market this year is London based ‘Mac and Wild’, who will be serving up deep-fried Cadbury’s Crème Egg sundaes! Costa, on the other hand has played it safe with their cute and colourful Easter treats – the ‘Choc-O-Crunch’! Whichever way you choose to do it, these fun treats are a great way to embrace the celebration of Easter.
Promotional Events
Another way to ensure that you have a profitable weekend is by implementing an Easter promotion or two. Create some fun in your coffee shop by organising an Easter event – the obvious choice being the classic Easter egg hunt. With or without a garden, an Easter egg hunt is a great way to get in the spirit. Decorate your coffee shop with fresh daffodils, hang some bunting and hide some eggs for your customers’ children to find. It’s the perfect way to create a welcoming community environment and encourage repeat custom.
Discounts
Consider offering discounted Easter treats to help entice customers to your coffee shop. Everybody loves a bargain and it’s the best way to win prospective customers. Get a buzz going in the lead up to Easter. Use your social media platforms to help promote any upcoming events and offers by engaging with your customers. Additionally, personalised marketing email campaigns can also help to make sure that potential customers are aware of the promotions you are running.
So, I ask the question – are you prepared for Easter?
