Boxpark’s Nationwide Expansion
Team Offbeat | 09 Aug

Established in 2011 and with three London sites under its belt, Boxpark plans to open ten new sites over the next five years.

The nationwide expansion will see the launch of two new concepts – BoxOffice and BoxHall.

 BoxOffice

The BoxOffice concept has been designed to incorporate co-working spaces into brand new Boxpark sites. The sites will be between 50,000 and 150,000sq ft and will cover four to six floors with the ground floor featuring the normal Boxpark street food area.

The first floor will be designated for leisure operators with the likes of virtual reality, cinemas, crazy golf and karaoke and upper floors will house office space. Boxpark hope to team up with existing co-working companies to launch, operate and roll out the new concept up and down the country.

The aim is to diversify income streams as well as secure permanent footfall for neighbouring street food vendors.

BoxHall

In addition to BoxOffice, smaller BoxHall sites are planned. These sites will be more food focussed, featuring around six to twelve food and drink vendors.

Boxpark

The shipping container pop-ups have proved to be a huge success for small business wishing to test concepts without large overheads, minimising potential risk. Providing a fertile ground for independent retailers to reach large audiences, they offer affordable and flexible conditions for lifestyle brands, cafes, bars and restaurants.

There are no plans as of yet for where these developments may happen but stay tuned for future updates.
